PocketResume

About

Built for the repetitive part of job hunting.

PocketResume exists because applying well shouldn't require rewriting the same resume fifty times, or trusting yet another company with your personal data.

Job hunting is a volume game with a busywork tax. Every posting wants a slightly different version of you, and the tools that promise to help usually want your data, your resume, and a subscription in exchange.

PocketResume takes the opposite approach. It lives in your browser as a Chrome extension, works directly on the job posting you’re already reading, and uses an AI key you control. You paste your master resume once; from then on, tailoring is one click.

It’s built and maintained in the open. If something about how it handles your data matters to you, you can read the code.

Privacy by default

Your resume and API keys stay in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to us, and cloud sync is optional and off until you enable it.

Honest by design

Tailoring is about emphasis, not fiction. PocketResume only reframes your real experience, and it never invents employers, titles, or metrics.

Open and portable

The extension is open source under the MIT license, and works with any AI provider you choose, including free local models that run offline.
